Welcome to The Michigan Roots Jamboree Campgrounds at Frog Island Park, Ypsilanti! We are proud to share our first year of Urban Camping with all of our festival guests. We hope you all have a fantastic time this weekend, Ypsilanti Music Festival - Roots Jamboreeand we have some special treats in store just for campers, like:

  • An information booth staffed 9 a.m. – 3 a.m. to answer all of your questions, from when does the music start to where can you find a local restaurant, bar or store.
  • We have worked with several local delivery restaurants to provide food delivery service right to the campground! You will be able to get a menu from the information desk and meet the driver right there to pick up your food!
  • A guide to downtown Ypsilanti dining, shopping, and night life.
  • A “baggage check” will be available at the ticket desk so you can drop your gear, park your car, and pick up your tickets at the Riverside Park festival entrance!
  • A special, live performance Saturday morning right there in the campgrond exclusively for campers!
  • Free WiFi Internet service is available in the park during the day in the festival grounds through Wireless Ypsi.
  • Michigan Roots Jamboree bands playing the festival will receive a Band Pass to the festival, but that will not include access to the camping areas due to the limited number of spaces. If you are a band member, and would like to camp in Frog Island Park, you will have to purchase a $10 Camping Pass for the weekend.
  • Approved vendors for the Michigan Roots Jamboree will be given two Vendor Passes to the festival. You will also be allowed to camp by your vehicles in Riverside Park. If you would like additional passes, they must be purchased pre-sale through the website for $15 or for $20 at the gate. If you would like to camp with other festival-goers, you will have to purchase a $10 Camping Pass for access to Frog Island Park due to the limited number of camping spaces available.

Because Frog Island is a City of Ypsilanti Park, we have to follow the same rules that any local resident would have to follow, as well as a couple to keep all of our fellow campers safe and secure. We ask for your cooperation and understanding to help us make our first year of urban camping a success.
