2010 Michigan Roots Jamboree

The Michigan Roots Jamboree is a two-day outdoor music and art festival showcasing the finest talent the midwest has to offer. This exciting, family-friendly camping event will bring together both local and regional acts on two stages in beautiful Riverside Park in Ypsilanti, Michigan. From rock to bluegrass to jazz and funk, The Michigan Roots Jamboree has over 25 acts providing something for Roots Jamboree - Ypsilanti, MIeveryone to enjoy. Sponsored by the Depot Town Community Development Corporation, all proceeds from this non-profit event go to support our local parks and improve community spaces.

Coming in 2010: Urban Camping!

This year, we are proud to announce that there will be overnight tent camping on both Friday Aug. 6 and Saturday, Aug. 7 at Frog Island Park. After a fun day of great music, food, and activities, come sleep out under the stars and experience the first urban camping adventure in Ypsilanti history. Within the secure camping area, there will be music, food, and plenty of fun on Friday and Saturday night. Purchase your tickets early because space is limited!

Not only can you expect to hear great music at the Michigan Roots Jamboree, but you’ll also get to experience two full days of incredible summer fun with your family. Kids Tent at the Roots JamboreeTake the little music lovers to the kids’ tent for a variety of games and activities. Choose from a variety of both locally and nationally brewed beers. Browse through the wares of some of Washtenaw County’s most talented artisans. And get a taste of the area’s greatest food, including vegetarian options.
